Lyle Haynes

Lyle is a person in recovery whose journey toward recovery was a long, difficult trek with many setbacks: multiple trips to in-patient treatment programs and sober living, many hospitalizations, mental health holds, and trips to detox.

Waking up from his last relapse in ICU, he finally found the bottom and was willing to do whatever was necessary to never relapse again. While recovering from his injuries in the hospital, he committed to attending an inpatient trauma program to address the underlying pain that was keeping him stuck in the cycle of addiction. This work was the missing link for him that allowed him to take full advantage of the other recovery tools that he uses today to live a happy and sober life.

Lyle’s recovery program today includes a sponsor, a therapist, an alumni trauma recovery group, and volunteer work with the recovery nonprofit The Phoenix. In early sobriety, he got a recovery job at Whole Foods. Eventually he was able to resume working in his high-pressure professional career. Best of all, he now has amazing relationships with his teenage children. Lyle’s life has been transformed to one of peace and happiness, something he never thought was possible.
