Stevie Thompson

Stevie knows firsthand how hard it can be to rebuild after addiction and trauma. She was an honor student with a bright future, but after dropping out of school at 16, addiction quickly took hold. What followed were years of struggle with meth, alcohol, and the consequences of her choices, including multiple DUIs, CPS and time in jail.

At 21, Stevie became a single mom while battling her addiction and simultaneously building a career in legal billing. In 2021, she married her husband and gave birth to a healthy baby, despite her substance use. Their relationship was fueled by addiction, chaos and violence and despite their separation after Child Protective Services took their youngest child, they found their way back to each other after deciding to get sober.

Through hard work and determination, Stevie graduated FIT Court, regained custody of her children, and began rebuilding relationships with her children. Her recovery journey included therapy, a sponsor, a peer coach, and Quantum healing. She is actively involved in AA and NA. Inspired to turn her pain into purpose, Stevie earned her CCAR certifications and, drawn to HardBeauty’s mission to fight stigma and create real change, Stevie knew she had found a place where she could call home. Today, Stevie is passionate about walking alongside others in their recovery, showing them that no matter where they’ve been, they can rebuild their lives and find hope.
