Event Series Survivors Resume

Survivors Resume for Women

Virtual Event Virtual Event

The Survivor’s Resume walks survivors of domestic violence through how they can reclaim their strengths by flipping shame on its head.  We share how the very things we feel ashamed of—what we did to survive abuse, like lying—can actually be flipped and reframed as strengths, skills that demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and courage — or in the case of lying, incredible creativity. By creating a personal resume of these hard-won qualities, we step into our power, redefining ourselves not by our past but by our potential. We invite others to look at their stories with new eyes, to honor what they’ve survived, and to own the strengths that were forged in those moments. In this 2-part workshop, we talk about building an actual resume. In part 1, we walk through the information and stories, Q&A, and start the process. In part 2, participants return with their finished resume to walk through how they worked on flipping shame. Angela Giles Klocke is a dynamic speaker, writer, and coach passionate about trauma recovery, creativity, and personal empowerment. With a focus on domestic violence recovery and healing, she uses her platform to guide individuals through their journeys of finding their voices and reclaiming their stories. Angela’s work spans speaking, workshops, coaching, and podcasting, all infused with a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes storytelling, creativity, and hope. Based in Colorado Springs, Angela is driven by the belief in leading by example, encapsulated in her powerful tagline: "I'll go first." Join Coach Angela May 19th and May 26th from 6:00-7:30 pm MST on Zoom for this dynamic work group. Due to the sensitive and healing nature of this group. this workshop is open to women only.
